Bleeding Bonus

Okay so you might be asking yourself, "what two posts in to days, is the world coming to an end?" No, I just have some wonderful news! So the story goes... The campus had a blood drive yesterday and they offer incentives to get people to come in and bleed for them , they have t-shirts and they have a few drawings for door prizes. The door prizes are practical things like gas money, movie tickets, and other gift cards. Well this time they also threw in a thing for the State Museum, and as you can probably guess, we (being nerds) placed ours in the museum drawing. To make a long story short, we both ended up winning tickets to the museum! So we have our entertainment for the year planned out! And I was accepted into the Education class that I needed to get into for next semester! So things are GREAT!

Studying Snapshots

Okay so I am still behind on updating the blog. I know. Things have been great here in the wonderful world of Muncie the last few days. We actually had three full days of sun! No rain! Amazing! Well I went on a walk with Phil the other day around the gardens at Minnetrista. It was so nice because there were a few flowers blooming and it was just great to see that spring really is on its way and is pretty much here. It was great to actually be outside and not freeze to death. The gardens were really wild looking they weren't all perfectly organized, instead they looked like wildflowers growing in the woods. They had winding paths and fences with fancy gates everywhere. We actually had to jump the fence to get out! We saw a caretaker in there while we were walking around and we figured that he would have said something if he was locking up, but no, so we hoped a chest high fence with big spikes on it! Well the past two weeks have been a tad bit hectic with projects and presentations and now the addition of exams. I have one today, tomorrow, and then Monday, but they shouldn't be too hard, hopefully...Well in a more fun topic I've been taking pictures with Phil's computer and they are really fun so I hope that you enjoy the crazy pictures of the two of us!

Spring Break

So I have been a little behind on updating my blog. As you have noticed, but better late than never. Well as you can tell it is Spring Break! A time of rest and relaxation, right? Wrong. It is a time of crazy amounts of driving across the eastern half of the country and projects! Okay so this the Kim Horn version of Spring Break, 2008 edition. So it all began in Muncie, Friday afternoon I left school with Phil to head down to Batesville to be with his family, and as Indiana weather would have it, in a snowstorm (remember this is spring break NOT Christmas break) So Saturday and Sunday we were snowed in with his family. It was a really fun time we watched movies and organized pictures, and played games. We also used the foot of snow for a bit of sledding, oh and this hill didn't have a soccer goal at the bottom or the rest of the town using the same hill! Amazing! Okay. So on Monday morning I left to go to the Smokey Mountains with my family. We had a couple of picnics, and had drove around Cades Cove on Monday afternoon. Then on Tuesday we had a picnic lunch and went on a hike. Then we drove back to the cabin and had a yummy dinner that mom provided. On Wednesday morning not-so-bright, but early I left to go back up to Batesville to see Phil and work on the huge genealogy project that I am working on for my geography class. I just finished working on it for a bit, I just completed inputting the information for the 15th generation! At least this project is somewhat useful because mom can now take all the names and do what needs to be done for temple work, so hopefully we will have a large stack of names for temple trips now, which should keep us busy for a very long time to come!
