...there was a girl named Kim. She started school at Ball State in August. She met this prince of a guy, Phil, in the Young Single Adults there. Kim, being her sweet, little, innocent self, asked this guy out to lunch to use up her extra money on her lunch card all in hopes of him falling for her charity and goodness. Phil, after a few lunches, fell for her generosity and good looks and Kim became his girlfriend. The two of them began doing things together like walks around campus, cooking dinner, and other such things that dating nerds like to do. Over the long and harsh winter break, our couple went to Nauvoo together for a friend's wedding and to each other's homes. After winter break the two resumed their pattern of dating and could often be seen eating meals together at all of the posh campus eateries but normally they went to Phil's house to cook dinner together. It was such an evening that Phil, after an evening full of conversation, suddenly dropped to one knee and asked if she would marry him. After a week of being secretly engaged (Kim said "yes," of course) Phil called Kim's father to ask fo permission to marry his daughter. Of course Kim's father, being the kind and gracious king that he is, said yes! And after June, they will live happily ever after.
We were married for all eternity in June of 2008 in Logan Utah. In August of 2010 we celebrated the birth of our son, Pete. Phil and I both graduated from Ball State University in May of 2011 with honors. Phil works at our local high school and I work at home caring for Pete, crafting, blogging and cooking.
